John Serafini
President and Co-Owner

John Serafini, co-owner of Elite Protection and Security is currently a sergeant with the Chicago Police Department, and has enjoyed a twenty-five year career, which includes extensive tactical and covert officer experience. He possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement Management, and a Masters of Arts in Police Psychology. He is a graduate of the Chicago Police Executive Development Program, as well as having completing the Chicago Police Department Terrorism Awareness and Response Academy, FBI Terrorists Training for Local and State Law Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security Law Enforcement Prevention and Deterrence of Terrorist Acts Awareness Level, and FEMA Emergency Response to Terrorism. Additionally, he has spent hundreds of hours in police related training regiments. He has also co-authored a research paper for the Chicago Police Department exempt staff regarding first responder training and equipment necessary in terrorist incidents.

 

William Snyder
Vice-President and Co-Owner

William (Bill) Snyder is currently co-owner of Elite Protection and Security. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Bill's law enforcement instincts led to him acquiring a teaching certificate. Bill has subsequently taught hundreds of classes in criminal law, case reporting and documentation, court procedures, crowd control, use of self-defense tools and tactics, and observation and recall skills. His experience and knowledge in the security field led to the implementation of security protocols in several banks and businesses in the Chicago land metropolitan area. He has obtained certification in the field of executive protection. He holds certifications by the State of Illinois in the use of firearms, chemical protection sprays, and ASP baton. He is also certified in CPR and AED.
